Impact:
As of Sept 21st 2020, for every SeaClean bracelet purchased, we'll fund the collection of 200 ocean-bound plastic bottles! That's 4 kilograms or 8.8 pounds of single-use plastic!
How it works:
90% of ocean-plastic comes from rivers from the mainland. Through our support of Plastic Bank, we pay collectors in high impact areas (Ie. Indonesia, the Philippines, Haiti, Brazil and Egypt) above market rates to collect single-use plastic bottles. The collectors bring this recyclable plastic to recycle depots which is later processed and turned into new products. This in turn creates a circular economy where plastic waste has a value. Not only does this greatly reduce the amount of plastic going into the rivers & oceans, it also provides a steady income for families in impoverished areas.
Product info:

It was designed to raise awareness about our worldwide plastic waste crisis. When people see it, they will ask you questions, in turn starting aconversation about plastic pollution. Help us spread awareness!
Peanut's story:
Our feature charm was inspired by a real turtle named Peanut. As a baby turtle, she became entangled in a six-pack ring which was carelessly discarded. During development, her body was unable to break the plastic, giving her a disfigured hourglass shape. Fortunately little Peanut was saved, and though she has internal issues, she has led a long happy life.
This pendant carries an important message that even a single piece of litter can irreparably change a life. We must not let Peanut's plight be in vain.
