🌊 SeaClean Becomes an Official Non-Profit Society in British Columbia
We’re proud to announce that SeaClean is now an officially registered non-profit society in British Columbia! This milestone marks a major step forward in our mission to protect and restore the stunning coastlines and marine ecosystems that make our province so special.
Our Mission
SeaClean is dedicated to cleaning up British Columbia’s shorelines and ocean environments—with a particular focus on removing abandoned boats and reducing plastic pollution. Both have become major threats to marine life, coastal safety, and the natural beauty of our shores.
Our team works tirelessly to identify, recover, and properly dispose of marine debris that harms local ecosystems. Through hands-on cleanup projects, partnerships, and public education, we’re tackling the growing issue of pollution at its source—while inspiring communities to take action for cleaner, healthier waters.
Why It Matters
Abandoned and derelict vessels leak oil, fuel, and hazardous materials into the ocean. Plastic waste breaks down into microplastics that end up in the food chain, impacting fish, seabirds, and even humans. These issues can no longer be ignored, and SeaClean is committed to being part of the solution—one cleanup at a time.
Our Approach
SeaClean’s work is rooted in collaboration, sustainability, and community involvement. We partner with local governments, First Nations, coastal residents, and volunteers to remove marine debris and promote awareness about responsible boating and waste management.
Our ultimate goal is not just to clean up what’s already out there, but to prevent future pollution through education, advocacy, and better stewardship of our shared waters.
Join Us
As a registered non-profit, SeaClean will now be able to expand its reach, access grants, and work alongside other environmental organizations across British Columbia. Together, we can protect our coastal ecosystems for future generations.
If you’d like to get involved—whether through volunteering, partnerships, or donations—Send us an email at Info@SeaClean.ca! Also, sign up for our newsletter below to learn more about upcoming cleanup events and initiatives.

Why a Reusable Bottle Is Better
Choosing a reusable bottle is one of the simplest and most effective ways to protect our planet. Every time you refill your bottle instead of buying a single-use plastic one, you help reduce plastic waste that often ends up in landfills or the ocean. Plastic bottles can take hundreds of years to break down — and along the way, they harm marine life and pollute our waterways.
Reusable bottles not only help the environment but also save you money and keep your drinks cooler (or hotter) for longer. By making the switch, you’re joining a growing movement to cut down on single-use plastics and create a cleaner, healthier future for our oceans and communities.
